The Area

The Grand Teton area is actually Teton County in Wyoming, surrounded by the Teton and Gros Ventre Mountains on both sides. Jackson Hole Valley is the beautiful (6,000-foot elevation) alpine valley running right through Teton County, boasting a number of national parks and incredible scenery. Some of the towns included in the region are Jackson, Kelly, Wilson, Moose, Alta, Moran and Teton Village.

Visiting the nearby national parks and forests is easy in the Grand Teton area. In fact, 97% of Teton County lies within federal management. You have the most famous park in the United States, Yellowstone, where you can see some of the most fascinating thermal features on the planet. Grand Teton National Park holds spectacular vistas of mountains and valleys, and hiking and fishing in Bridger-Teton and Targhee National Forests couldn’t be better. Wildlife abounds in the National Elk Refugee.

The lifestyle in the Grand Teton and Jackson Hole area is a relaxed and friendly atmosphere.
