Jackson Hole is a picturesque mountain valley in the northwestern corner of Wyoming. Teton County is composed of 3,826,407 acres, less than 3 percent of which is privately owned. Most of the land lies within Grand Teton National Park, Bridger-Teton National Forest, Targhee National Forest and the National Elk Refuge.
Other towns besides Jackson in Teton County are Alta (via Driggs, Idaho), Kelly, Moose, Moran, Teton Village, and Wilson. Jackson has the highest cost of living in the state and the lowest unemployment rate.

MEDICAL SERVICES
St. John's Hospital provides a continuum of health care services to residents and visitors in the Jackson Hole area. Comprehensive care includes 24-hour emergency services, adult and pediatric inpatient and outpatient diagnostic and treatment services, home care, hospice, in-home private nursing care, wellness programs, and the St. John's Living Center long-term care facility. Other medical services include general internists, obstetricians, gynecologists, family physicians, radiologists, orthopedists, physical therapists, psychiatrists, psychologists, licensed social workers, an ophthalmologist, a dermatologist, dentists, orthodontists, chiropractors, and periodic visiting specialists.
EDUCATION
Jackson Hole is served by the Teton County School District, Central Wyoming College, and several private and religious pre-schools, kindergartens and elementary schools.

SECURITY
The Jackson Police Department employs 30 active officers, while the Teton County Sheriff Department has 48 sworn deputies.
The Volunteer Fire Department has 37 fire fighting trucks and water support equipment.
TRANSPORTATION
Air
Year-round flights to Jackson Hole is provided by three carriers: Wisconsin Air flies to Jackson from Denver International Airport; Sky West Airlines serves Jackson from its hub in Salt Lake City; and during both the summer months and the ski season, Jackson receives service from United Airlines and American Airlines, providing non-stop service from markets such as Denver, Chicago and Dallas. Delta Airlines serves Jackson during the ski season from Salt Lake City.
Car, Taxi and Buses
Car rentals and taxi service are available at several locations around town, including the airport. Public and private bus service is provided between the airport, Jackson and Teton Village. Private service between Grand Targhee, Teton Village and Jackson is provided during the ski season.
Highway Travel
Road maintenance is excellent and winter snows rarely prevent travel.
