Its nickname is simply "The Big One." And its fame is worldwide. Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is simply the greatest ski area in North America. Argue this fact with a Jackson local at your peril, because he or she will simply laugh, march you on to Jackson Holes famed aerial tram, and watch your eyes bug out as you sail over 2,500 square acres of bowls, faces, chutes, glades, and ridges. Jackson Hole Mountain Resort features steep terrain, deep powder, and numerous backcountry acres. A variety of groomed runs and open bowls are also available for beginners and intermediates. Snowboarding is allowed on 100% of the terrain. A super-pipe and a terrain park are also offered both skiers and riders. The ski resort is located at Teton Village, Wyoming, 12 miles northwest of the town of Jackson on Highway 390 via Highway 22. It is also only five hours drive from Salt Lake City, Utah. more info
