Jackson Hole, Wyoming has many exciting things to do, including activities and entertainment that are sure to please adults and children. Many areas provide year round adventures, whether recreational or indoor entertainment. Tourists and locals alike can fill their holidays, business trips or days off with culture and sports that never cease to please.
There is so much more to Jackson Hole than meets the eye. Entertainment and activities abound, giving a broad range of things to do for locals, tourists and even visiting business people. The town has everything from music to theatre, and nearby access is available to Grand Teton National Park, as well as other places of interest.
Grand Teton National Park is close enough to Jackson Hole to make the town a great place to use as a base for its wind range of entertaining activities and events. Activities include snowmobiling, snowshoeing, cross country skiing, cycling, canoeing, boat floating, regular boating, swimming, fishing, rock climbing, mountaineering, canyoneering, camping, backpacking, photography, wildlife and bird watching, walking and hiking. Other places within the park that should not be missed ar the Colter Bay Visitor Center and adjoining Indian Arts Museum (collections of local native artefacts), the Jenny Lake Visitor Center (geological exhibitions), river bound tours of Snake River and bus tours of the park.
Within Jackson Hole there is plenty to do and see. Visitors can enjoy excellent fly and other types of fishing, with special tours and guides available for the diehard fishermen. Horse riding is another popular activity within the town and outer lying areas, and most lodgings can arrange an hour ride or even multiple days of riding adventures. Wildlife tours are regularly offered throughout the year with visits of Grand Teton and Yellowstone areas. The local theatre offers local and international talented performances, including live theatre acts and musical concerts. White-water rafting on the Snake River is another adventure that many visitors enjoy, as well as the local golfing spots, alpine sliding at Snow King Mountain, miniature golfing, boating, chairlift and tram tours and nearby camping.
Guests of Jackson Hole also enjoy a variety of spa services that rival even the world's best and are found in most hotels, resorts and lodges within the town and in nearby Teton Village. Restaurants provide a wide range of culinary delights, ranging from casual coffee shop snacks to fine dining.
