Join us for a FREE Ranger led hike at the Tower/Roosevelt area. Sign up at any visitor center before hand is required.
Gem of the Rockies 8 am, Sundays from June 13th to Sept 6th.
Garnet Hill lies at the heart of Yellowstone’s famed northern range, home to vast herds
of wildlife. Hike through Pleasant Valley into the forest glen of Elk Creek and along the
roaring Yellowstone River as we circle Garnet Hill on this “gem” of a trail.
Difficulty Moderate, but fairly long (Elevation gain: 300 ft/90 m)
Duration 6 hours
Total Distance 7.5 miles/12 km
Type of Trail Loop; stagecoach dirt road (1.5 mi/2.4 km) and maintained trail.
