The four day event now draws over 10,000 fans and more than 300 snowmobile hill climb racers from all over the US and Canada to the valley of Jackson Hole.  Nearly 400 club members (all volunteer) converge on Snow King Mountain to stage one of the largest non-profit charity snowmobile events in the United States.

We welcome approximately 10,000 spectators to this four day event.  The town offers plenty of night life in several bars with live bands, plenty of shopping and many restaurants.  Just about every hotel or motel in town is booked for most of the week of Hill Climb.

  • A March event held at the base of Snow King every year.
  • Riders and spectators travel form all over the country and Canada to watch who gets crowned King of the Hill.
  • Several classes of riders compete including professional riders.

Overview: Not impressed? You say you've climbed some pretty decent hills on your own snowmachine? Well consider this: the "hill" in the world championship hill climb is Snow King Mountain. Snow King rises 1,500 vertical feet above the town of Jackson. The hill climb course follows a route that, near the summit, steepens to a nearly 45-degree angle. Hill climbers who lose it on the upper reaches of the course often tumble hundreds of feet back downhill.

When: This 4 day event is held in late March every year.

Where: The steep incline of Snow King Mountain is the annual gathering of dare devils and supporters. Tip your head back and take it all in. One rider at a time.

Fees: There are event entry fees as well as concession stand fees. You may also have the option to ride the chairlift up for a better view, lift fees do apply.

Details: Even spectators face challenges. Prime vantage points for viewing the race high on the course are on the same steep slopes that frustrate so many drivers. It is difficult to simply stand upright along some sections of the course. Join over 10,000 spectators and snowmobile enthusiasts from across the country to watch snowmobilers race up to the summit of Snow King Mountain.
