Jackson Lake

Fishing and boating in the Grand Teton National Park is most popular at Jackson Lake. The majority of boating pursuits in the park are best done there and varied marinas and swimming areas are available. In fact, boats range from motorized ones to inner tubes.
The lake sits at the edge of varied rivers, but due to their shallowness, sandbars and swift currents, many boaters are advised to avoid them. In fact, the local marinas can give good information about the lake and the challenges that can be faced by boaters there. The main marinas include the Bear Creek Marina, the Martin's Marina and Reasor's Landing.
Fishermen also find Jackson Lake to be highly enticing. Varied fish such as bass, carp and trout are highly popular catches. However, bait types and fishing equipment varieties are limited to protect the fish populations.
Fishing in Jackson Lake is best done from June to September, but due to the abundance of water craft in the area, fishermen are best fishing near the mouths of the various rivers. In fact, fishing licenses are mandatory.
