CROSS COUNTRY SKIING
Nearly all of the unplowed roads in Grand Teton National Park become cross-country ski trails during the winter. However, some areas are closed to protect wildlife. Check with local Park Personnel to plan your route.
SKI VACATIONS
The great thing about having three separate ski resorts so close to Grand Teton National Park and Jackson is that many lodging facilities have skiing vacation packages available during the winter. You can combine all types of winter activities including skiing with your lodging into one total ski vacation.
HELI SKIING
Heli ski trips include a guide to lead a team, usually no more than five persons, and these guides are trained to find the best skiable snow on the highest peaks in the area.
SKI REPORTS
Current snow levels, skiing conditions and anticipated weather is available each day throughout the ski season from each of the ski resorts. Additional information for planning cross-country ski trips or backcountry skiing can be obtained from the National Park Service and/or the Forest Service.
BACKCOUNTRY SKIING
Various outfitters and guides offer day tours and overnight hut trips for alpine and telemark skiing, cross-country skiing, snowboarding and snowshoeing in the Grand Tetons of Wyoming.
