Wedding Locations

Grand Teton weddings hold a special magic to them. Whether you choose Grand Teton National Park or one of the gateway communities in which to hold your ceremony, this is the perfect place to start your lives together.

In Grand Teton National Park, there are a few very popular locations to hold a wedding. Some of these are the Signal Mountain Summit, Schwabacher’s Landing and Blacktail Ponds Overlook. There are also chapels located within the park, such as Chapel of the Transfiguration and Chapel of the Sacred Heart. (A permit is needed to get married within park boundaries. See below.)

Outside of the park, the choices are virtually unlimited. Ranches, ski resorts and many other venues host weddings. Get married surrounded by the towering snow-capped peaks of the Tetons, by a pristine lake with a historic site as a backdrop or in an alpine meadow dotted with wildflowers.

Wedding Planning

Finding a wedding planner is never easier than right here. You should explore your options for all the elements of your wedding that you want to go smoothly, like catering, lodging for guests, photography and setups. Don’t forget florists and any babysitting services that may be needed!

Marriage Licenses

If you are getting married within Grand Teton National Park, you will need a permit, unless it is held at one of the chapels in the park or at a concession facility. The application can be obtained from the National Park Service website.

Obtaining a marriage license in Wyoming is simple. It only costs $25, and there is no waiting period or blood tests needed. You don’t have to be a resident of Wyoming in order to get a license. Get your license and get married immediately.

Call the Teton County Administrative Office at 307-733-7733 for more information. They are open Monday through Friday from 8 am to 5 pm.
